"The Metamorphosis" is a fairly easily read Novella authored by Franz Kafka. It is perhaps his most famous work. Like other Kafka works, reading it is the easy part. Actually understanding it is quite another. Occasionally one will hear the adjective "Kafkaesque" used to describe some situation.
